LinkedIn for B2B sales: cover your accounts, person by person
In B2B sales, LinkedIn gets you inside target accounts before the first call: if the buyer, the user and the signer already have you in their network, your email and call reach someone who recognises you. Load your accounts, define the buying committee’s job titles and invite in batches you review yourself.
Who to invite on LinkedIn: a guide for B2B sales
Invite the whole buying committee at each account, not just the final decision-maker.
| If you work in… | Invite… | At… |
|---|---|---|
| Economic buyer | CEO, CFO, head of the function | Your target accounts |
| Product users | Team leads and specialists who will use it | Your target accounts |
| Influencers | Procurement, IT, security | Accounts in evaluation |
| Look-alike accounts | The same job titles | Companies in the same industry and size as your clients |
How to set up your audience in Reachvite
Values for each tab of the extension:
- Industry: Your ideal customer profile’s industry; use it to find similar new accounts.
- Job title: The three or four titles on the buying committee.
- Companies: Your account list from the CRM, pasted as-is; turn on “Start with my companies”.
- Where?: Your sales territory, in priority order.
Reachvite always adds its own filters: real people with 500+ connections, and never 1st-degree connections or pending invitations.
How many invitations a week?
Two or three batches of 20 to 30 a week.
A typical territory has hundreds of relevant people. Sixty to 80 invitations a week, spread out, cover your priority accounts in a few weeks and leave headroom if LinkedIn asks you to pause. LinkedIn doesn’t publish a fixed number: we explain it in the weekly invitation limit.
Example invitation notes
Notes are optional and capped at 300 characters.
- “Hi Ray, I work with logistics teams at distributors like yours. I’d like to have you in my network and follow your news.”
- “Hi Sylvia, saw your new Denver site, congratulations. Glad to connect.”
- “Hi Tom, I share ideas on industrial purchasing with procurement leaders in the sector. Happy to connect if it’s of interest.”
What to post so people accept (and remember you)
- What you learn from customers, unnamed if they prefer.
- Honest comparisons of approaches to the problem you solve.
- Useful comments on posts from your target accounts.
Common mistakes
- Inviting only the CEO of each account.
- Putting a long pitch in the invitation note.
- Prospecting outside your territory or ideal customer profile.
Frequently asked questions
Does it integrate with my CRM?
There’s no direct integration. You can paste your account list into the Companies tab and export results to CSV.
Does it work with Sales Navigator?
Reachvite works with your regular LinkedIn and the audience you set in the extension; Sales Navigator isn’t required.
Does it send follow-ups like other tools?
No, on purpose: invitations only. You do the follow-up, with context.

Pick your audience and let Reachvite send the invitations, in batches you approve.
Add to Chrome ↗Chrome will ask for access to LinkedIn: Reachvite only works with the audience you choose, never sends anything without your OK and doesn’t read your messages or your password.
