LinkedIn weekly invitation limit

LinkedIn doesn’t publish a fixed number of invitations per week. Its Help Center says every account, free and Premium, has limits, and that it may restrict sending if you send many invitations in a short time or many are ignored. A restriction usually lasts one week, and you can’t shorten it or buy more invitations.

How many invitations can I send per week?

There’s no official figure: it depends on your account and how people respond to your invitations.

The numbers you see online (100, 200 a week…) are third-party estimates, not LinkedIn data. Some tools publish their own caps; for example, Waalaxy states up to 800 invitations a month on its Advanced plan. LinkedIn, on its invitation limit page, only says limits exist and apply to everyone.

Why does LinkedIn restrict invitations?

Sending many in a short time, many being ignored or marked as spam, or suspected automation.

These are the three reasons LinkedIn gives in “Types of restrictions for sending invitations”. It also says that after withdrawing an invitation you can’t re-invite that person for up to three weeks, and that networks are capped at 30,000 first-degree connections.

How long does a restriction last?

Usually one week; with too many pending invitations, up to a month.

According to LinkedIn: after a first restriction, wait a few hours; after several in one day, a few days; for too many outstanding invitations, up to a month. Withdrawing pending invitations doesn’t lift the restriction.

How do you avoid hitting the limit?

Invite relevant people, keep a complete profile, don’t rush, and withdraw what nobody accepts.

Reachvite applies these ideas: it only invites active people who match your audience, sends at a steady pace, withdraws invitations pending for more than 21 days and stops as soon as LinkedIn shows a warning. It never probes for the limit or speeds up to find it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Premium raise the invitation limit?

LinkedIn says all accounts, Basic and Premium, are subject to limits. Premium allows more personalised notes: free accounts can add a note to 5 invitations a month.

Does withdrawing invitations lift a restriction?

No. According to LinkedIn, withdrawing pending invitations doesn’t remove a restriction already in place.

What does Reachvite do if LinkedIn shows a warning?

It stops: it won’t open LinkedIn for 48 hours.
