LinkedIn for architects: reach the people who commission projects
An architecture studio wins commissions on LinkedIn when developers, corporate real estate managers and contractors know its work and how it operates. Invite those profiles in your region, post projects with the client’s context and use the network for partnerships with engineers and interior designers.
Who to invite on LinkedIn: a guide for architects
Invite the people who commission and pay for projects, not just other architects.
| If you work in… | Invite… | At… |
|---|---|---|
| Residential | Developers, development company managers, family offices | Real estate development |
| Workplace | Facility managers, corporate real estate leads, COOs | Companies growing or moving offices |
| Hospitality and retail | Expansion and openings directors | Hotels, restaurants, retail |
| Partnerships | Engineering firms, contractors, interior designers | Construction and engineering |
How to set up your audience in Reachvite
Values for each tab of the extension:
- Industry: Real estate, construction, hospitality: depending on the commissions you want.
- Job title: Developer, head of expansion, facility manager, general manager.
- Companies: Active developers in your region and chains opening new sites.
- Where?: Your city and region; commissions are usually local.
Not sure where to start? People like me fills in job title, location and language from your profile.
How many invitations a week?
One or two batches of 20 a week.
The people who commission buildings in your region are a limited group. Twenty to 40 invitations a week cover it within months and keep your network current without repeating yourself. This is our guidance, not a LinkedIn figure; Reachvite stops at the first warning.
Example invitation notes
Without Premium you can only add a note to 5 invitations a month, so save it for the people who matter most.
- “Hi Gavin, we design offices for tech companies in Seattle and post each project with its process. Glad to connect.”
- “Hi Teresa, we work on hotel refurbishments on the coast. I’d like to have you in my network.”
- “Hi Ivan, we’re looking for structural engineers to partner with in Oregon. Glad to connect.”
What to post so people accept (and remember you)
- Projects with the brief, the constraints and the solution, not just renders.
- Real cost and time ranges for a type of project.
- Regulations that affect your clients, explained briefly.
Common mistakes
- Posting only final images without the client’s problem.
- A network made up mostly of classmates.
- Not saying what kind of projects you specialise in.

Instagram or LinkedIn?
